The Trueman Show (https://thetruemanshow.com/) is one of the largest podcasts in the Netherlands with nearly 1 million listeners per month. It’s more than a platform for open and in-depth conversations, it’s a place where host Jorn Luka, together with his guests, searches for truth, meaning, and personal growth.
It’s a quest for truth, without defining truth. With the goal of contributing to a collective process: awakening from definitions, lifting veils and revealing essence. Discovering what we truly want and what we can do to achieve it.

After years of growth in the Dutch market, we’re now making the leap to international. We’re going global with conversations with visionaries, scientists, thinkers and pioneers who, like us, are searching for deeper truth. Conversations that inspire and challenge not just the Netherlands, but the entire world to look deeper. We believe that supporting these kinds of conversations is important not only for ourselves, but for the collective.
To realize this international ambition, we’re looking for a Podcast Producer who will make the difference behind the scenes.
Your Mission
You are the link that ensures The Trueman Show continues to grow and professionally scales to an international level. You’re responsible for guest relations and production coordination: from finding, researching and pitching interesting (international) guests to preparing every recording and developing new format ideas.
Specifically, this means:
Guest Research
- Identifying relevant international guests: monitor YouTube, social media platforms, other podcast appearances, current relevance and cultural trends to identify emerging voices, outliers, and high-value potential guests interesting for our audience
- Analyzing trends: analyse social, search, and audience trends to create a data-informed guest booking strategy, ensuring our podcasts remain timely, relevant, and engaging
- Conducting in-depth research on potential guests before pitching to Jorn, including their expertise, background, and alignment with our themes, spotting unique angles to make episodes stand out
- Staying ahead of trends by proposing guests who bring new perspectives and fresh insights to the podcast
Guest Booking & Management
- Reaching out and building relationships with international names, their management, and publicists, you know how to reach the right people and get them excited
- Conducting intake conversations with potential guests to check if they’re a good fit for the podcast and to prepare the content
Production Coordination
- Planning and production coordination: you organize recording sessions (both studio and digital), coordinate with the team and ensure everything runs smoothly
- Technical checks for digital recordings: you test in advance with guests whether their audio/video setup, internet connection and software works properly
- Maintaining production quality: you oversee the complete content creation process and ensure every episode meets our high production standards in terms of editing, pacing and finish
- Contributing ideas for international recording trips
Podcast Content Research
- Preparing conversations by conducting research and creating briefings for Jorn
- Recognizing when in-depth research is needed and assessing opportunities to dive deeper into strong stories or underexposed topics
- Contributing to content strategy: which topics are current, which guests fit our story, how do we build the brand internationally?
Marketing & Sales
- Actively collaborating with editors on how trailers should look and which highlights work best
- Contributing to content and marketing with our marketing team from mailings to promotional content, you think along about how we can best position episodes
- Coordinating with the sales team to ensure smooth advertising and affiliate integrations
What You Bring
You have an affinity with the world of consciousness, alternative media, geopolitics and spirituality. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with high-profile international guests and their teams. You work in a structured way, maintain overview and are comfortable with an international, digital workflow. You have attention to detail and a passion for delivering excellent data-driven research on YouTube and other platforms. You work closely with Jorn but take independent initiative in planning, guest communication and production.
Additionally, we’re looking for someone who:
- Can assess well which guests are interesting for our audience and why they’re relevant (based on social media, other podcast appearances, current developments, etc.)
- Can analyze trends on social media, search behavior, cultural developments and audience preferences to determine which guests we should book based on this data
- Speaks and writes excellent English (fluent communication with international guests and their teams)
- Has experience with guest communication, outreach or similar roles
- Experience with podcast production is a plus, but not strictly necessary
- Can test whether guests’ technical setup (audio, video, internet) works properly before recordings
- Can work independently, takes initiative and takes ownership
- Has affinity with the topics and energy of The Trueman Show, you understand why these conversations matter
- A network in the international consciousness/alternative media world is a plus, but not necessary
